This program was organized by the SWIS at Maywood Community School. Eight newcomers’ parents from Syria and Egypt attended this program every Tuesday on May 2,9,16, and 30, 2023 and they learned about:
Computer safety and terminology, school website, How to go to the staff directory and look for teacher’s emails, how to write an email, subject, bcc, School calendar, Job opportunities, Parents, community and SWIS info, Burnaby Community Centers information, where to find family and kids summer activities and same for the Burnaby Public Library Summer Reading club and conversation circle programs.
