Bloedel Conservatory

On Saturday, December 8th, 2018, despite the rain and cold weather, we, Burnaby Settlement Workers in Schools, Claire, Kay, Monica and Selina led a multicultural group of 34 newly arrived immigrant, refugee students and family members who were from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Syria, Japan, India, and Afghanistan. The students were from Maywood, Marlborough, Nelson, Chaffey Burk, Cameron, Burnaby Central, Moscrop and Burnaby South, to Bloedel Conservatory at Queen Elizabeth Park and VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver.

Sincere thanks to VanDusen Botanical Garden Association and Field Trip Coordinator Devon Deckant for granting us the free admissions so that the new students and families could enjoy this wonderful experience.
