Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) Program
invites you to Open House at Chaffey-Burke School for Mandarin-speaking families

The role of the “Settlement Workers in Schools” (SWIS) Program is to support newcomer families and their children who are adjusting to the new life in Canada. SWIS workers are placed in the schools to support students and families in their settlement through facilitating and promoting stronger connections between new immigrants, schools and communities.
This Open House presents an opportunity for newcomer families to meet with their SWIS worker at Chaffey-Burke, followed by an introduction on SWIS services and a Q&A period to answer any questions. Please join us to learn about how SWIS services can help you.

  • Date: Friday, March 9th, 2018
  • Time: 9am to 11am
  • Place: Chaffey-Burke, Room 6 (Resource room)
