Join us to see one of the nature’s wonders.
Burnaby’s Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) Program invites parents & students to join an adventurous, educational guided tour to:
Capilano Salmon Hatcher, North Vancouver

See first-hand how our drinking water infrastructure affects the salmon run
and the wildlife that depends on it.
Take the breathtaking tour of the river view and the hatchery.
You will appreciate how the hatchery and its surroundings are kept healthy
by dedicated staff of the Park.
The SWIS Program is thankful to Metro Vancouver Regional Parks for
providing park interpreters for this guided tour.
Date: Friday, October 20, 2017 (Pro D-Day, no school)
When to meet: 8:15 am sharp, return around 3:00 pm
Where to meet: Metro town Bus loop at Bay #4, Bus no. 130 Capilano
The bus will leave at 8:30 am sharp, please be on time.
Expect to walk 1 km from the bus stop to the hatchery.
The tour is on, rain or shine.
Bring your own food and drink. Dress weather appropriately and wear good hiking/walking shoes.
A limited supply of bus tickets are available. Permanent residents in need
will be given a priority.
